1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing relating to the mobile game STARVANE is:
2DAY Communications GmbH
Postfach
CH-4055 Basel
Switzerland
Email: contact@2daycom.com
2. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile game STARVANE for iOS and Android.
It explains what data is processed when you use the game, for what purpose, how long data is stored, and what rights you have under applicable Swiss data protection law.
This Privacy Policy applies to the game itself. Separate privacy terms of app stores or platform providers such as Apple App Store or Google Play may apply when you download, purchase, or update the game through those services.
3. Data Processing in the Game
STARVANE is designed as an offline game.
The game itself does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or otherwise share personal data with us or with third parties while you play.
The game stores certain data locally on your device so that gameplay and progression work properly. This may include:
- game settings, such as audio, haptics, fire mode, and volume preferences
- progression data, such as credits, upgrade levels, and ship unlocks
- campaign progress, including stage clears and best scores
- endless mode progress, including highest sector and per-ship records
- overall best score, tutorial completion, and save version information
This local data is used only to provide the game’s functions, save your progress, restore your settings, and maintain compatibility of your save data.
4. No Accounts, No Analytics, No Cloud Sync
STARVANE currently uses:
- no user accounts
- no cloud save
- no in-game analytics
- no advertising SDKs
- no tracking technologies
- no social login
- no online profiling
- no in-game collection of personal data
5. Recipients and Data Sharing
Because the game does not transmit gameplay data to us, no in-game personal data is disclosed to third parties through normal use of STARVANE.
6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
The game itself does not transfer in-game personal data abroad, because it does not transmit such data to us or to third parties during gameplay.
7. Storage Period
The locally stored game data remains on your device until:
- you reset or delete it through the game or device functions
- you uninstall the game
- your device or operating system removes the data
8. Data Security
We design the game according to the principle of data minimisation and privacy-friendly design. Since STARVANE operates offline and stores gameplay data locally on the device, data exposure is reduced to the local device environment rather than routine transmission to external servers. Swiss law also requires privacy by design, privacy by default, and appropriate technical and organisational measures for data protection.
9. Contact by Email
If you contact us by email, for example for support or legal/privacy requests, we process the personal data you provide in your message, such as:
- your email address
- your name, if provided
- the content of your request
- any information you voluntarily send to us
We use this information only to process and answer your request and to document the communication where necessary.
10. Your Rights under Swiss Data Protection Law
Under applicable Swiss data protection law, you may have rights including:
- the right to request information about personal data processed about you
- the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data
- the right to request deletion or restriction of processing where legally applicable
- the right to object to processing where legally applicable
These rights are relevant in particular if you contact us directly and we process your contact data outside the offline gameplay context. The FDPIC explains that users have rights to access information on the controller, the type of data processed, the purpose, recipients, and the storage period, and that correction, deletion, restriction, and objection rights may apply depending on the case.
To exercise your rights, contact us at: contact@2daycom.com
11. Data Breaches
If a data security breach were ever to occur in connection with personal data processed by us, we would handle it in accordance with applicable Swiss law. The FDPIC states that breaches likely to result in a high risk must be reported to the FDPIC as soon as possible, and affected persons may also need to be informed in certain cases.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the game’s features or legal requirements change.
The version published for STARVANE must always reflect the game’s actual data processing. The FDPIC states that a privacy statement must be consistent with the company’s current data processing policy.
